  After not being to a dentist in many years, I tried to research dentists in my local area and came across the amazing reviews for Superior Smiles and decided to book an appointment with Dr. Rani. I was so happy with the service I received- all the staff were extremely friendly and professional. I felt like I was in very good hands with Dr. Rani, who talked me through every stage of the appointment step by step, in a clear and gentle manner.   After experiencing terrible episode with dentist many years ago, I have always kept a wide berth and only go when I am in extreme pain. Had my first visit with Dr Rani  and she was just wonderful, explained everything as she was going I was made aware of cost  and given the option to proceed.
Was very caring and I had no pain what so ever , I still have a couple of more visits to go however no more fear  and for the first time in many years had experience a comfortable time at the dentist. For people who have a morbid fear I can assure you it will be gone after you experience a visit with Dr Rani staff are also wonderful, I will follow up with the six monthly check ups  as required without hesitation. What is a Holistic Dentist?

A holistic health practitioner considers all aspects of the human body to be interconnected and believes that no portion of the body functions independently of the others. A holistic dentist is concerned not only with the teeth and gums, but also with the people who are associated with the teeth and gums.

The mouth is the first point of contact with the respiratory system. We believe that good breathing and sleeping are essential for good health, and that the shape and health of your oral cavity are therefore critical to your overall well-being.

The mouth is also where the digestive tract begins. As a result, having a functioning masticatory system (the capacity to chew) is a critical initial step in appropriate food digestion.

Is Holistic Dentistry Different To General Dentistry?

Holistic and conventional dentistry share a lot of the same equipment when it comes to the tools we utilise. We employ digital radiography at Superior Smiles, which are X-rays that have significantly less X-ray exposure than traditional X-ray machines. So, how about our anaesthetics and the manner we treat fillings? The products we use on our patients are carefully chosen. One factor that distinguishes a holistic dentistry practice is the absence of mercury amalgam fillings.

Are You Organic Too?

At Superior Smiles we focus on the overall health of our patients but will never compromise on quality materials that are safe and effective. Many people can mistake holistic for being "organic" where certain medical grade materials are not used in procedures like fillings and implants. We do still use the most modern and innovative materials in our procedures but will accompany every service with a general check-up on your health and can assist you in improving your diet and physical health.
