With the holiday season upon us, we’re sure you’ve got enough on your plate – social engagements to attend, gifts to buy for your loved ones and places to be in Perth. The last thing you need is a chipped tooth or oral infection with no dentist at your disposal – but we’re happy to let you know that won’t be the case.
Our North Fremantle practice will be here for you during your dental emergency situation, because let’s face it, they happen! Should you find yourself in an oral predicament soon, here are a few tips to help assess the situation:
- For a broken or chipped tooth, clean the area by rinsing your mouth with warm water. Use ice to reduce swelling and make a dental appointment as quickly as possible.
- For a missing crown, you’ll probably be in a great deal of pain. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever to help manage the discomfort and give our practice a call.
- For an oral trauma, assess the injuries and decide if you need to visit a hospital. If there is excessive bleeding or swelling, please seek immediate medical attention.
- You can also avoid dental emergencies by ensuring your regular preventative care is up to date. Call the practice for the Christmas Preventative Offer before the our north Fremantle clinic closes for a check and clean appointment and don’t forget to check with your health fund provider to see if you qualify to use your benefits before the end of 2018.
